【摘要】:1.1Fresnel-reflectingconcentratorsusingthesunassourceareutilizedintheacceleratedoutdoorexposuretestingofnonmetallicmaterials.1.2ThispracticecoversaprocedureforperformingacceleratedoutdoorexposuretestingofnonmetallicmaterialsusingaFresnel-reflectoracceleratedoutdoorweatheringtestmachine.Theapparatus(seeand)andguidelinesaredescribedhereintominimizethevariablesencounteredduringoutdooracceleratedexposuretesting.1.3Thispracticedoesnotspecifytheexposureconditionsbestsuitedforthematerialstobetestedbutislimitedtothemethodofobtaining,measuring,andcontrollingtheproceduresandcertainconditionsoftheexposure.Samplepreparation,testconditions,andevaluationofresultsarecoveredinexistingmethodsorspecificationsforspecificmaterials.1.4TheFresnel-reflectoracceleratedoutdoorexposuretestmachinesdescribedmaybesuitableforthedeterminationoftherelativedurabilityofmaterialsexposedtosunlight,heat,andmoisture,providedthemechanismsofchemicalorphysicalchange,orboth,whichcontroltheratesofaccelerationfactorsforthematerialsdonotdiffersignificantly.1.5Thispracticeestablishesuniformsamplemountingandin-testmaintenanceprocedures.AlsoincludedinthepracticearestandardprovisionsformaintenanceofthemachineandFresnel-reflectormirrorstoensurecleanlinessanddurability.1.6Thispracticeshallapplytospecimenswhosesizemeetsthedimensionsofthetargetboardasdescribedin.1.7Fortestmachinescurrentlyinuse,thispracticemaynotapplytospecimensexceeding13mm(1/2in.)inthicknessbecausecoolingmaybequestionable.1.8ValuesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
