【摘要】:Thisguideisintendedtointroducethereadertothebasicconceptsofgeotextilesdurabilityanditsassessment.Considerationofthedesignparameters,theprojectconditionsandthegeotextilepropertiesleadstothedefinitionoftheappropriateteststobeperformedforassessingthedurabilityofthegeotextile.Geotextilesandgeotextile-relatedproducts(referredtobelowasgeotextiles)areavailableinawiderangeofcompositionsappropriatetodifferentapplicationsandenvironments.Thesyntheticpolymersusedconsistmainlyofpolyamide,polyester,polyethyleneandpolypropylene.Thesematerials,whencorrectlyprocessedandstabilised,areresistanttochemicalandmicrobiologicalattackencounteredinnormalsoilenvironmentsandfornormaldesignlives.Forsuchapplicationsonlyaminimumnumberofscreeningor"index"testsarenecessary.Forapplicationsinmoresevereenvironmentssuchassoiltreatedwithlimeorcement,landfillsorindustrialwaste,orforapplicationswithparticularlylongdesignlives,specialtestsincluding"performance"testswithsite-specificparametersmayberequired.Thisguidedoesnotcoverproductsdesignedtosurviveforalimitedtime,suchaserosioncontrolfabricbasedonnaturalfibres,nordoesitcovergeomembranes,norgeotextilesforasphaltreinforcement.Creepandcreep-rupture,whichshouldbetakenintoconsiderationforsoilreinforcementapplications,aredescribedinoutlinebuttheuseofthedatainreinforcedsoildesignwillbethesubjectofaseparatedocument.
